ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must unequivocally and documentarily demonstrate: a) possession of a master’s degree in Education or Educational Sciences; b) enrolment in a Doctoral program in the field of Education or meeting the necessary conditions to enrol in a Doctoral program in the field of Education, a requirement to be proven at the time of hiring. Alternatively, they may be enrolled in a non-degree granting course integrated into the educational project of a higher education institution, developed in association or cooperation with one or more R&D units, a requirement to be proven at the time of hiring; c) eligibility of the candidate according to the provisions of paragraphs 4 and 5 of article 6 of the Research Scholarship Regulation of the Foundation for Science and Technology, approved by Regulation No. 950/2019, published in II Serie Diário da República, December 16, 2019, and subsequent updates. d) proficient command of Portuguese (applicable only in case the candidate is not a native Portuguese speaker, must present a proof document).

DURATION AND START OF THE SCHOLARSHIP: The scholarship will have a duration of 5 months, non-renewable, starting on August 1, 2024, on an exclusivity basis

MONTHLY MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCE: The amount of the scholarship corresponds to 1259.64 euros, according to the table of values for scholarships awarded by FCT, I.P. in the country (https://www.fct.pt/wpcontent/uploads/2024/02/Tabela-de-Valores-SMM_atualizacao-2024.pdf). The monthly payment of the scholarship will be made by bank transfer. Personal accident insurance will be provided, and there is the possibility to join the Voluntary Social Insurance as provided in the applicable legislation

SELECTION METHODS AND CRITERIA: a) Academic and professional curriculum (30%); b) Experience in using statistical analysis and content analysis programs (20%); c) Previous experience in participating in projects in the field of Education, particularly in Distance Education (20%); d) Relevance of any peer-reviewed publications in the field of Education (10%); e) Proficiency in Portuguese - minimum level - C2 (10%); f) Proficiency in English - minimum level B2 (10%);

METHOD OF PUBLICIZING/NOTIFYING RESULTS The admission list, the evaluation results, and the final ranking list will be publicized on the Open University portal, and the candidate will be notified via the email address provided in the application process. The candidate has a deadline of 10 working days, following the notification mentioned in the previous paragraph, to respond, if desired, in a preliminary hearing of interested parties, in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Code (Código de Procedimento Administrativo).
