There is hereby announced that, by order of the Rector of Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, Professor João Sàágua, dated 02/12/2025, a recruitment procedure is open for the hiring of a Senior Technician for the funding of the UID/04923 - Comprehensive Health Research Center unit, to be executed at NOVA Medical School | Faculty of Medical Sciences, Universidade NOVA de Lisboa under a Indefinite Individual Employment Contract, in accordance with the Labor Code and the Regulations of the leaders of Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (Regulation no. 577/2017, of October 31, published in the Diário da República, 2nd Series, no. 210, of October 31), hereinafter referred to as the Regulation.

- Job Description:
- General Admission Requirements (Academic Qualifications):
The candidates will be involved in technical support for laboratory equipment, specifically the Oroboros equipment. Additionally, they will provide technical support for projects and assist in the management/execution of laboratory work.
- Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field;
- Specific Requirements:
Candidates must have laboratory experience:
- In high-resolution cellular respiration techniques (using equipment such as Oroboros or Seahorse);
- In biological sample preparation;
- In biochemical and molecular biology laboratory techniques;
- In cell culture.

The recruitment procedure is open for applications until 11 of April’25.
The selection will be based on Curriculum Evaluation (CE) and may be supplemented by a Professional Selection Interview (PSI), if deemed necessary by the Selection Committee.
The final classification will be expressed on a scale of 0 to 20 points and results from the following formula: Final Classification = (30% CE) + (70% PSI)
The evaluation parameters and the weighting of the selection methods are noted in the minutes of the selection committee meeting, available to candidates upon request.
