We’re the first European food-tech startup developing cultivated pork from mammalian cells and microalgae. Our unique microalgae-based technology aims to eliminate key scale-up barriers and accelerate the entire cultivated meat industry.

We have a strong team of scientists with deep knowledge of mammalian and microalgae cell cultivation.

What we need from you 💻

You’re an experienced cell biologist with deep knowledge of mammalian systems. You’ll design and optimize growth protocols, work with bioreactor systems, and contribute directly to product innovation and process scale-up for cultivated meat.

What you’ll do:

• Lead and execute experiments with mammalian cells—stem cells, primary cells, or cell lines
• Maintain and expand cell cultures under aseptic conditions
• Develop and refine serum-free and chemically defined media
• Apply advanced cell analysis techniques: flow cytometry, qPCR, microscopy, immunostaining, western blot
• Work with bioreactor systems (spinner flasks, stirred-tank, perfusion) and support scale-up
• Design, test, and optimize cell growth and differentiation protocols for cultivated meat applications
• Document findings, help improve processes, and collaborate closely with R&D and bioengineering teams

Who we’re looking for:

• PhD in Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Biochemistry, or related field (or MSc with strong experience)
• 5–10+ years of hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture, ideally in applied or industrial research
• Deep knowledge of mammalian cell biology and culturing techniques
• Skilled in sterile techniques and familiar with cell banking and recovery
• Strong understanding of bioprocessing and cell scale-up strategies
• Team-oriented scientist with analytical thinking and a creative problem-solving mindset
