Laboratory for Informatics and Systems of Instituto Pedro Nunes (LIS) opens a fellowship for researcher for a period of 3 months and a monthly value of 1199.64 EUR,

to support R&D in the field of Computer Engineering, under the guidance of LIS ́s researchers, in the framework of Project designated POWER - EMPOWERING A DIGITAL FUTURE (Aplication n.º 70365 - RCI), financed by Fundo Europeu de Desenvolvimento Regional, através do COMPETE 2020 - Programa Operacional Competitividade e Internacionalização (POCI).

The grant is destined to holders of a master degree in informatics or similar, enroled in a PhD or in a special course in a High Education Intitute.

The goals of the grant are:

This work contemplates the research and specification activities required for the design of a solution and processes capable of granting privacy-preserving features and high degrees of data utility to a Data Analytics Platform in the context of the project POWER.

The work plan includes tasks in the following activities:

State of the art review of:

o          Data Analytics Platforms employed by Telecommunications Operators.

o          Data Privacy Regulations and associated technical requirements for exchange of Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

Review and evaluation of Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs) capable of supporting privacy-preserving data exchanges.

-           Elicitation of technical requirements to enable privacy-preserving customer data exchanges between Data Analytics Platforms and third parties. 

The work will be carried out at the Laboratory for Informatics and Systems of Instituto Pedro Nunes (LIS), under the scientific supervision of Professor Marília Curado.

A - CV evaluation (0-100 points) – The candidate must obtain a minimum of 50/100 to proceed to the next criterion;

B - Evaluation through technical aptitude test (0-100 points) - The candidate must obtain at least 50/100 to continue to the next criterion;

C - Interview: 50 points
